A) Introduction

1) Describe the "Tipping Point"

It is the one dramatic moment in an epidemic when everything can change all at once.

2) At what point does something "tip"?when three characteristics come together in one moment: contagiousness, little causes can have big effects and change happens at one dramatic moment.

3) Gladwell asserts that "gradualism" is the norm, that most of us, by nature, are gradualists,Is there room in our ordered society for "tippers"?If so, where and how?Inreading the first part of this book, we do see that there is and has always been tippers.Sudden change of any circumstance, trend or event definitely required a tipper.Once you think about it, you do wonder why some products, ideas, etc. take-off while other linger or disappear altogether even thought they are of similar ilk.

b) Chapter 1

1) What are the three rules of epidemics?the Law of a Few, the Stickiness Factor and the Power of Context.

2) What is the 80/20 principle?the idea that in any situation roughly 80% of the 'work' will be done by 20% of the participants.

3) Who is R.J. Reynolds?It is a cigarette company that markets "Winston"cigarettes that have a catchy slogan.
